What is a Facebook pixel? How can you install a Facebook pixel to help
you run effective Facebook ads? A Facebook pixel is a code that you have to
install on your own website to track every single little event that happens on your website. For example, if you have your own funnels,
or maybe you have your own Shopify store, for example, let’s say, you want to track
people who have landed on specific pages. Maybe they landed on specific products. Maybe they landed on the check out page but
they didn’t check out. You want to track these customers so you can
retarget them using Facebook ads. And the only way to track every single move,
and to track where they went on your website, is by installing the Facebook pixel. My name is Tamara Tee. My YouTube channel is focused around building
successful online businesses. If you guys are interested in seeing more
tutorials from me, be sure to do me a favour, subscribe to my channel and hit the notification
bell so you can get notified every single time I post a new video. Today, I am going to dive inside of my computer
with you so we can install the Facebook pixel together. So you can start tracking every little things
that your customer is doing on your website. Just think of the pixel as an analytics tool
that can track who’s visiting your website and which specific pages they have visited
on your website. I am trying to make this as simple as possible
especially those of you who are watching who are new to Facebook ads. It may become a little overwhelming in the
beginning because even for myself, when I started Facebook ads, I had no idea what I
was doing. But after doing this repeatedly every single
day, I now have a very good understanding of what the Facebook pixel does. And trust me, it’s super powerful. It fires every single time someone lands on
a specific page on your website. And like I said, in the future, you want to
advertise to them to bring them back to your website. The whole point of having a Facebook pixel
installed to your online website is to make money. It’s to bring everyone back to your website,
every single time you want to offer them something new. Maybe you are selling a service. Maybe you are selling a product. Whatever you are trying to sell to your customers,
the Facebook pixel would track every little single thing. Alright, enough talking. Let’s dive into my computer. Alright, so I am inside of my Ads Manager
right now. This is my dummy account where I am going
to show you how to install the Facebook pixel. If you guys do not know how to set up your
business manager which is this whole platform that we looking at right now, I suggest you
to go back to this video where I teach you how to set it up before you watch this tutorial. Okay, so the very first thing you want to
do, after you log into your business manager, is to go to pixels right here. If I click on Pixels right here, I have 2
ad accounts inside of this business manager. We will ignore one of them but for this one,
we can set up a new pixel so you can add it to your website. Just click on View Setup Instructions and
the reason why you’re seeing another pixel on top of this one is because like I said,
I have an actual pixel in this account. We’ll click here. View Setup Instructions. And we want to manually ad pixel to website. If you have Clickfunnels, if you have Shopify,
if you have any website where you are able to insert a Facebook pixel to track every
single move your customer is making on your website, then go to here. You can also do add code using partner integration. But this is a lot more confusing. As you can see, you can use SquareSpace, WordPress
as well. But today, we will manually add a pixel. We will click on that and this is the pixel
code. This is the code you have to insert to specific
pages on your website to track your customers every move. If I click on Copy to Clipboard, now it’s
copied. And I am going to continue. And this is just telling us that we are installing
the base code. Now that you’ve installed pixel base code,
you can use the event set up tool to track the actions that matter most to your business
without additional code. There’s something also as well called a custom
conversions which I will not get into today. If you are new, that is going to super confusing
for you. And today, we just want to get the pixel up
and running and start tracking events. We copied the pixel. I am just going to give you an example where
to place it on my own website. This is my Download Your Free eBook Funnel
that I gave away for my Amazon FBA sellers on my YouTube channel. You can refer back to this video if you want
to learn how to install this funnel for yourself. But in this video today, I am just going to
be using this funnel as an example to install the pixel that we just copied previously. I am just going to head to Settings and go
to tracking code. By the way, it doesn’t matter which platform
you guys are using, you can be using Shopify, WordPress, SquareSpace, whatever it is, there
is an area for you to paste your pixel on to the website. Right here, we are just going to go to Paste. And that’s it. Now, this code that we copied from Facebook. It’s going to track every single time someone
lands on this specific page that we are looking at right here. As you can see, this code right here. There’s something called Track Page View. This specific page that we are tracking is
called a Page View. This is the event that we are tracking. Every single time, I am just going to exit
now since we pasted that. Every single time someone lands on this page,
it’s going to fire the event that says Page View. If you want to track other steps on your website,
all you do is go back to the tracking code and can change this event right here. Maybe you want to track Check Out. Maybe you want to track everybody who landed
on your page that allows them to check out. Because maybe they did not end up checking
out and you want to target them using Facebook ads, telling them, “hey, why didn’t you check
out? Check out our great offer today.” You can name this to whatever you want and
then, it’s going to show in Facebook events that this will fire, this Check Out event
will fire every single time someone lands on the Checkout page. I hope that made sense. We are going to jump back into Facebook so
I can show you where these events will be. Don’t forget to save all of your changes after
you applied the Facebook pixel to your website. This is where we left off, right? We’re just going to click on X to cancel. Now, this is what will happen if someone lands
on the Page View or if someone lands on the Checkout page. You are going to see, well, this one hasn’t
fired because I showed you guys an example and it’s not real. But what will happen eventually, if I go to
one of my real accounts, and I just go to the pixel after it’s been installed. This will be all the events for your pixel. Events are tracking what I just told you. For example, Page View or Check Out page,
whichever page you want to track on your website. And if I scroll down here, these are different
names of the events that I have. Remember, we did Page View earlier. Whenever someone lands on that front page,
this is for my Amazon FBA Winners funnel. Someone who lands on the Cheat Sheet, someone
who landed on my webinar. I have it all tracked right here. That’s what you will see as well after you
install the Facebook pixel and you go back to your events, Events Manager. I just went here, Events Manager. Remember, we went to Pixels to grab the code
and then we went to Events Manager right here to track every time it fires. You also should be testing your events. If I go to test events right here, you can
test in real time if your pixel is working. Earlier, we installed the Facebook pixel into
my free eBook funnel, you can enter the website right here. I could enter the website right here. It will open the website and it will show
me whether or not the pixel is working. You guys will need to download Facebook Pixel
Helper and install it into your Chrome extension to check if your pixel is working. So let’s test out my website to give you an
example. My website is Official FBA Winners dot com. And if I were to click on open website, I
am in Internet Explorer right now. Like I said, the Facebook Pixel Helper works
in Chrome. If I go back to my Chrome extension, this
is my Facebook Pixel Helper. And there’s that number 2 there, right? If I click on to this, it says one pixel found
on Official FBA Winners dot com. Ta da, now I know the pixel that I installed
is working. If I go back to here and if you were type
in your own website after you followed the steps how I just showed you how to install
the Facebook pixel, you will see exactly in your Chrome extension with the Facebook Pixel
Helper, if your pixel is firing and is it working? You can track as many events as you want in
your Facebook Events Manager. Maybe you have 20 different things going on. Maybe you want to track people who landed
on the first page and also landed on 5 different products that you are trying to sell and they
initiated check out on the check out page. There’s so many things you can track, right? And in order to build out those different
events, who have visited different pages on your website, we can just go back to whichever
page it is and change this track right here. We can change this name and after we save
it, it will automatically populate in the events overview on this page. If I go back to my real account, like what
I showed you earlier, it’s tracking so many things, right? There’s so many things that I am tracking
right here and that’s what you want to do as well for your own website. Another way to change your events is to set
it up here. You can go here and change this track event
right here to something else. You rename this and then you copy the whole
code again and place it into a different page on your website to track it. Or you can go to here, set up, and set up
new events. And go to manually add event code. And this will give you a list of other events
that you can track. These are events that are already laid out
for you on Facebook. But like I said, I like doing it myself and
renaming it myself because it’s just something that I can track easier. But if you want to go the way how Facebook
sets it up, you can do that as well. You can just click off, if are selling education
products, automotive – for myself, I do eCommerce and retail, these guys right here, are already
set up for you. Maybe someone subscribed. Maybe someone gave you their email address
from your website. You can enter a conversion value. So let’s say, actually we will use the Purchase
for example. Let’s say someone bought something on your
website, right? Let’s say for my sake, someone bought my training
course and the value was, let’s say, $500. And the currency, we can put USD because I
do everything in USD. And the contents, you can, actually I don’t
put anything here. This is another way to just enter a value
to track it but it’s just going to confuse you so don’t do that. And there you go. Recognize this code here, you see how it’s
tracked Purchase. Track Purchase, and if I went here, this is
where I changed it. So this is just Facebook changing it for you. But to not confuse you, I really recommend
you to just go back to this code, change it yourself, paste it onto the right page on
your website, and it will automatically populate in your set of events in Events Manager. Or you can just copy this right here, like
what we just did. And all you do is replace it right here. It’s really the same thing. I know it may be a little confusing but just
choose one way or the other. And like I said, there’s something called
custom conversion right here. I am not going to talk about that today. I may talk about it in another video. If you want me to talk about that topic, drop
me a comment below. But for here, we are already done. And you can do this for whichever event that
you want to track. Maybe it’s someone added something to cart. Maybe someone searched for something. Maybe someone viewed a specific page. That’s all you do and you can enter whatever
details you want in there. I am just going to exit this because we already
have the code set up. I hope this video has helped you today to
really get you started on installing your Facebook pixel. I promise you it is not hard after you have
tried this out for yourself. If you have comments, please drop me a comment
in the comment section below of this video and I’ll answer to you and try to help you
out. Give this video a big thumbs up if you enjoyed. Please subscribe to my channel. I’ll catch you guys in my next video.

Great video Tam, I think it would be good to continue with the series.
Any video you do regarding an Amazon business is good, Facebook adds is definitely one of them due to their popularity. I'm becoming a fan of your content.

U make us understand everything.. u got a good voice and u are attractive too..keep up ur good work👌
Thanks for the content, Tamara! To track people from the specific page, do I just need to paste the code to that specific page or do I have to create any unique event for that purpose?
Watched till the end!
