Twitter Removes 140-Character Limit From Direct Messages


Twitter has removed the limitation of 140
characters in its Direct Messages(DM) to make the private side of Twitter even more powerful
and fun. Twitter’s direct messages (DM) limit will
be increased from current 140 to 10000 characters. Twitter will begin rolling out this change
in its Android and iOS apps, on twitter.com, TweetDeck, and Twitter for Mac. It will continue
to roll out worldwide over the next few weeks. Sending and receiving Direct Messages via
SMS will still be limited. Recently Twitter is taking continuous steps
to improve its Direct Messages Feature. Few months back it made changes for permitting
anyone to send and receive direct messages even if they don’t follow
